Waynetown, Dec 27 -- Amos M. Luse, prominent Waynetown man died at his home here Friday evening at 5 o'clock after a serious illness of 6 weeks with complications. He had been in ill health for the past 3 years. He was born in Benton County Jan 17, 1851, son of Jacob and Charlotte Martin Luse. On August 23, 1875, he married Joana Carney Fields. He moved from Benton County to Wingate "with his parents when he was two years of age and grew to manhood there." Later he moved back to Benton County, living there four years. For the past 35 years he had lived in Waynetown. He is survived by his wife, a son, Frank Luse, of Waynetown, a granddaughter, a brother, Albert Luse of Ohio and two sisters, Belinda Bottenberg living in Michigan and Mrs. harry Dick of Paris, Ill. Funeral services were held from the Waynetown Methodist Church at 1:30 Monday afternoon. The Rev. Morris of Newtown will officiate and burial will be made in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery (sic - one past tense/one future - usually they happen at the same time)
